Dear Subscribers & Friends,
Hi, welcome to the Spring/Summer '97 Edition of Reach Out Magazine. As promised we are adding more features including a column titled "What do You Think", which address issues affecting people with disabilities and asks for your feedback. Together we can make a difference. This issues story is on Artificial Limb & prosthesis fitters. Currently there is no licensing required, but in contrast nail technicians have to be licensed. What do you think?? We want to hear from you. We will be adding new features as time goes on.
Several people have approached me lately and said they love the magazine, but they would like to see more personal ads. Well I tell them, "So would I". It seems to me, if you're looking for a relationship you should take the first step, and not wait for the other person. I know there are a lot of people with disabilities who would like to meet someone, so lets all take an active role in our future, and not wait for the other person to do it. Just my two cents.
Well take care, and I hope you have a great summer. We'll see you again in AUGUST. As always we'd love to hear from you with any comments, questions, suggestions, articles or information.
Sincerely,
Jim JakubekDISCLAIMER
