As you are probably aware Reach Out is now officially a nonprofit tax-exempt organization as of last August What does it mean for the future of Reach Out? Through donations, fundraisers and grants we will earn much needed revenue. The money will help us to keep Reach Out a FREE resource. It will also allow us to enhance, expand and improve the website as well as offering more features both online and offline.
We're very excited about our first fundraising program. We will be combining several fundraisers into one event. One real exciting fundraiser is one we're working on with the Florida Marlins. The fundraiser works like this: Reach Out can purchase tickets for a pre-determined game at 1/2 off, then we can resell them up to full price and keep the difference. We hope to sell a few hundred tickets.
Another fundraiser we're having is a raffle drawing for some really nice prizes. And finally, the last fundraiser is my personal favorite. As many of you know I m an AVON representative. Beginning now and continuing through at least the end of July, I will be donating my Avon sales commissions to Reach Out.
