Dear Readers,
Welcome to the Fall/Winter 2001 edition of Reach Out Magazine. A lot sure has happened since the last issue, namely the Sept. 11th terrorist attacks and all that has followed. I won't go into the issues in details since I believe all that was needed to be said, has been, and much more eloquently then I could ever. What I would like to say though, is that it is incredible to see how everyone has come together now. There is never anything good about terrorists acts, but these attacks have showed us all what we are made of.
Reach Out magazine is an International Site. We have members from all of the world I am so overwhelmed by all the support the United States from all the countries worldwide. I would like to thank everyone for their support of Reach Out, and for their support of America. I know these are trying times for all of us and I'm sure everyone has been affected one way or another. I would just like to reiterate what has been said by President Bush & Mayor Giuliani, that we go on with our daily lives as normal as possible. While we need to be more aware of our surroundings, we should not go into a state of paranoia. America was built on the principal of freedom, and that's what we need to focus on; our freedom, freedom to go about our daily lives and to enjoy life. We must also make each day special as we never know how long we have here. I think this is also the time we to heal old wounds. A lot of us have had disagreements with family members or friends. Those issues are rather petty compared to what families and friends of those who have been affected by the Sept. 11th incidents.
I hope you enjoy this issue of Reach Out. While it may be a little smaller than normal it still features lot of great articles. We are always looking for articles too. Whether you're a professional writer or novice, if you have a story to share we'd love to hear from you. Reach Out is not able to pay for submissions, but you will receive recognition in the publication.
Also we hope to make some technical upgrades soon. I realize there's some problems navigating through Reach Out lately. There are several reasons for that. The first is server upgrades. Voltage.Net, our Host server upgraded their server equipment and there was some incompatibility with the current programs. Another reason is Reach Out's financial limitations. We use free or demo programs. This creates some problems as we are not able to customize them as much as we would like. You can help us though. While we do have a program set up with Amazon to accept monetary donations, we realize many can not afford to do that. There are other ways you can help though. We have rotating banner ads on our main page, as well as a "Recommend-It" popup window on the main page. "Recommend-It" is a great program, that pays website owners every time someone recommends the site. Another great program is "Top50". You can vote for sites and get paid. There are also many great affiliate programs listed with the banners. The banner ads are rotating, to see a different banner, just reload the page. The banners appear only on Reach Out's main page.
I hope you enjoy this site as much as I enjoy bringing it to you. I thank you for your support, and for your continued support. The next issue should be out in January 2002.....See you then!!!
