If I had my way...

I would make it unlawful for people to drive with their "Handicap Parking Permit" hanging from their rear view mirror. There is a reason they call it a Parking Permit and not a driving permit!!! Well, does anyone know why that is??? Well, it is because it's used for parking and not for driving. By driving with the permit hanging from the mirror it creates two very dangerous situations: The first dangerous situation it creates is the possibility of an attack or mugging. It's like saying "I'm disabled, mug me!" I mean, we are already more vulnerable to crime than able bodied individuals, why should we add to that vulnerability. Secondly, it increases the risk of a car accident by obstructing your view. There's enough bad drivers out there and we don't need to add to the list. Rather. we should be driving, defensively. I would create a fine of at least $100 for anyone caught driving with a parking permit. Harsh fine? Maybe. But maybe, just maybe, people will stop driving with the parking permit.

So what's your opinion??? We'd love to hear from you.
